CD Cover “This Is Me, Is That You” is the debut CD of Bronwen Williams, a Minnesota singer-songwriter whose honest lyrics and clear, powerful voice ring with truth and clarity. She is firmly rooted in folk music, and the 12 original songs on the acoustic CD delve below the surface of everyday life to deeper -- and sometimes darker -- emotions. Like a musical surveyor, Williams maps ground both high and low with thought and insight. She accompanies herself on guitar and is backed by some of the Twin Cities' finest musicians. The performances are stellar, but it is Williams' evocative songwriting and strong voice (reminiscent of Kate Wolf and Judy Collins) that give life to this CD and keep its heart beating.
