Background

This song is a lullaby with an Irish sound. I wrote this for my daughter who was 3 years old at the time. I wanted to express my strong emotions and unconditional love for her. I wanted her to have something tangible that she could hold on to as she moved through her life. The song has vocal, acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and tin whistle.

Kaidi's Song

I could hold you forever
In my arms so tight
I could dry all your tears
And ease all your fears
Each and every night

I could hold you forever
And feel the power of love
The joy in your eyes
The secret smiles
Are more than I dreamed of

I could hold you forever
And never let you go
And you won't understand
These feelings I have
Till you've children of your own

I could hold you forever
But soon you'll turn from me
When you push me away
I promise I'll stay
So you can still come back to see

I could hold you forever
Though now you're not so young
And when you're all grown
And out on your own
Just remember there's someone
Who could hold you forever
